WHERE WE CAME FROM
We used to run a bona fide hot sauce company in the UK. Businesses far and wide stocked our hot sauce and we won a bunch of awards along the way. We had a couple of moments in the USA (we won an award there too) and once upon a time, we had a sauce on Hot Ones. And we only got there because of our love of getting crazy in our hot sauce lab. Always pushing, always experimenting and always bringing new ideas to UK Hot Sauce. We were featured in national press and invited to speak at regional events. At one point we felt like we could be a big deal.
And in general, we loved it. But we simply weren’t cut out to become the required production line. We couldn't focus on churning out the same old sauces over and over.
Because we always remembered what excited us about hot sauce in the first place. Those playful, experimental “what if?” moments that drove us on.
WHAT HAPPENED
WE WANTED BETTER FOR EVERYONE
And we felt we could give some of that back to the best UK hot sauce makers in the UK too. Because we knew deep down that they probably felt the same sometimes too.

For each box, we invite three makers who we know will kick ass. They get our prototype brief and create a sauce they maybe always wanted to, or perhaps they’ll come up with something on the fly. We give them the platform to have fun, to push boundaries. All away from the confines of their core range. We re-stoke that imagination and sense of wonder that got them into hot sauce in the first place. They get to express themselves. We want this experience to be the best part of their day.
